Beardlip Penstemon (Penstemon barbatus)

$4.00

Pollinators love the scarlet flowers of the Beardlip Penstemon (Penstemon barbatus), also known as Scarlet Bugler. Hummingbirds and butterflies in particular flock to these red blooms. Seeds were harvested in Albuquerque at high altitude, so these perennial plants are native to the Southwest. A great low-water native plant, the Beardlip Penstemon can also tolerate part shade. Sow seeds in Fall through early Winter, as they need cold stratification to germinate. Minimum 1/8 tsp of seeds included.
